Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Casey’s love affair with baseball began at the age of five. He attended Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 2009 MLB Draft. Instead of pursuing his commitment to the University of Arizona, he decided to attend Yavapai College and enter the Draft in 2010. Casey was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2010 MLB Draft, signing his first professional contract. He played professionally from 2010 to 2017, spending time with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, and Baltimore Orioles. As his playing career wound down due to durability and injury issues, he made the decision to help pitchers reach their goals and take control of their future and dreams.<\/p>

After spending four years in Los Angeles with Dr. Tom House and the National Pitching Institute, he realized that there is a tangible, data-driven alternative to rotational athletic training. Players must learn to be their own best coaches, and they need a process that works for them. Since then, Casey has become a Certified Pitching Instructor through the National Pitching Association, a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Instructor, and an OnBaseU Certified Pitching Instructor. Currently, he resides in Phoenix with his two dogs, Fitz and Floyd. Kenny Ogg started with RAS as a throwing performance coach in September of 2020, coming to Arizona from Indianapolis. He attended Ohio University where he pitched from 2015-2019 and was a Graduate Assistant Coach in 2020. Kenny spent his summers playing in the Northwoods League for the Eau Claire Express. After his college career, he played 2 years of independent baseball in the USPBL, Pioneer League, and Frontier League before signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2022. During his playing career, he learned the adaptations that are beneficial for increasing pitching performance. This created the understanding of how to coach athletes to use their body in an efficient manner to gain velocity, command, and durability. After retiring, Kenny became the Director of Pitching at RAS and has been in that role since May 2023. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Gage hails from LeMars, Iowa, and earned his Bachelor\u2019s degree in Exercise Science from Wayne State College in 2014. Throughout his academic tenure, he served as a strength and conditioning intern at Velocity Performance in Sioux City East, where he worked with various high school sports teams. In 2013, he took on the role of strength and conditioning coach for Briar Cliff University, managing all athletic programs. In the spring of 2014, Gage interned in strength and conditioning at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he assisted with Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, and the Women\u2019s Volleyball team, which achieved national championship status, while also overseeing the men\u2019s and women\u2019s Rifle and Bowling teams, both of which were national champions as well.<\/p>

He began his professional journey with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the summer of 2014, where he managed performance operations in the Dominican Republic for that year. Gage continued with the Dodgers from 2015 to 2021, working across various affiliated levels. He served as the Latin America Strength and Conditioning Coordinator from 2017 to 2018 and contributed to two MiLB Championship Teams and the World Series Championship Team in 2020. In 2022, he was involved with the Glendale Desert Dogs as the strength and conditioning coach for both the Fall League team and the All-Star team. Most recently, he held the position of MiLB Performance Coordinator for the Chicago White Sox from 2022 to 2024, playing a role in their MiLB 2A Championship run.<\/p>

Gage possesses numerous certifications that enhance his ability to foster the physical development of players, including CSCS*RSCC, FRC, DNS, SOMA-ELDOA Levels 1-2, OnBaseU, and VBT certification (GymAware), along with being a Certified Sleep and Recovery Coach and holding Precision Nutrition (PN) Level 1 certification. He is deeply passionate about player development and employs his expertise to maximize each athlete’s potential, ensuring they are well-prepared for success in physical training. Throughout his career in professional baseball, he has recognized the significant influence of performance coaches on the growth of young athletes and the offseason development of professionals, with a commitment to providing players with individualized attention.<\/p>

He resides in Buckeye, Arizona, accompanied by his pup Lobo. His hobbies include hiking, camping, fishing, carpentry, golf, and pickleball. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling to various countries to explore diverse cultures and experiences globally.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Originally from Suwanee, Georgia, Matt Vonderschmidt is joining the RAS staff as a nutrition\/wellness coach, and chef. A Graduate of Piedmont University, Matt pitched out of the back end of Piedmont\u2019s bullpen from 2015-2019. After graduating and a he spent a year in Independent Ball with the Missoula Paddlehead\u2019s and the Gary Southshore Railcat\u2019s. After hanging up the cleats, he pursued his passion in nutrition and became a certified nutrition and wellness coach. Matt works with players on customizing their nutrition plan to help maximize their performance and health. Meet Siera Weathers, our performance coordinator from Rochester, Indiana and earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology from Huntington University in 2022. Siera was a part of the Women\u2019s Soccer and Track teams at Huntington University. Throughout her time as a collegiate athlete, she started her strength and conditioning career by interning with Huntington\u2019s men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball team. Summer 2021 she severed as a strength and conditioning intern with Parkview Sports Medicine, where she worked with multiple sports (soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball, baseball, etc.) Fall of 2021 she took over the role of Empowered Volleyball Academy as well as Fort Wayne Sports Club – Soccer strength and conditioning program with Parkview. While finishing her senior year of college she was an active strength and conditioning coach with numerous colleges and high schools in the Fort Wayne area.<\/p>

She began her professional career with the Chicago White Sox and quickly became full time overseen minor league strength and conditioning operation for the Arizona Complex League. She also assisted both MiLB and MLB rehab progressions.<\/p>

Siera possesses a handful of certifications that give her the ability to enhance athletic development, CSCS, VBT Certification (Gymaware), Isometric Strength Training, and Nutrition Certification. Building strong, powerful, and robust athletes requires a multifaceted approach that nurtures physical abilities and cultivates mental strength, resilience, and passion.
